The KickMap is a patent-pending removable decal for any soccer ball, mapping out where to strike your foot to master six kicking types: curve, chip, driven, floated, knuckling, & trivela.
The KickMap was precisely designed based on more than 20 years of scientific research and engineering in order to provide you with the most accurate training tool possible.
A lot goes into perfecting your kicks and it can feel overwhelming. A detailed instruction sheet and video guides are included to make the learning process easier to understand.
KickMap exists to help every soccer player grow their love for the sport by providing players a simple, easy-to-understand, and inexpensive way to quickly improve their soccer skills.
Adison Hicks is a D1 Men's Soccer player, USL League 2 National Champion, and Mechanical Engineer. These skillsets provided the means for both the fundamental knowledge and the rigorous scientific testing needed to create the KickMap.
Please reach us at adi@thekickmap.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Each type of kicking technique is listed on the instruction sheet in order of difficulty. Any & all of the beginner & intermediate kicks are considered fundamental kicking techniques, making those a good place to start.
The KickMap will improve kicking techniques which are necessary for all aspects of your game including both passing and shooting. The KickMap is designed for kicking a stationary ball in order to simplify and control the environment of learning each type of kick. The principles of kicking a moving ball are EXACTLY the same as the principles of a stationary kick, the only difference comes with practicing the timing and coordination of striking a moving ball in the same way.
View our video guides for a visual of each kick as well as more detailed instruction for how to achieve each one of them.
This depends on how often you practice. It is expected that you can achieve noticeable improvement on each type of kick within your skill level after using the KickMap for 30 min per day consistently over a 5 day period.
The KickMap is engineered based on 20+ years of research. It is used and verified by experienced players including professionals in the MLS and USL.
The KickMap is a temporary tattoo that is designed to resist water, but it can still be removed with medicinal alcohol. Medical wipes, rubbing alcohol, and even hand sanitizer or strong soap can be used to scrub the KickMap off of your ball.
Absolutely. The KickMap is engineered to have NO effect on the usage and dynamics of the ball during play meaning the ball can be used as normal even when the KickMap is still on the ball.
The KickMap is made for any soccer player looking to improve their skills. It is designed for independent use by anyone with the ability to comprehend the provided instructional material, but it can still be used alongside someone willing to help instruct the user regardless of age.
The KickMap is currently being used by individuals ranging from first-time players to professional players. For those newer to the game, this tool will help you understand each of the different types of kicks, and how to achieve them. For those more experienced (even those who already know HOW to achieve each type of kick), this tool can help provide a visual for training allowing you to master each type of kick.
T The KickMap is designed to be applied to a size 5 soccer ball of any color, texture, or stitching pattern. Lighter colored balls or balls with fewer patterns on them will allow you to see the KickMap more clearly, but are not required to use it properly. (Size 5 is the U.S. Soccer Federation’s standard size for ages 9 and up. )
The KickMap has been tested to withstand any & all of the following conditions: [1. Temperature] extreme heat and cold playing temperatures, [2. Environmental Conditions] rain, snow, and sun exposure, [3. Playing Surface] grass, artificial turf, pavement, sand, mud, and more.
The KickMap has been tested to last up to 2 weeks when being used for 30 min per day (even under adverse environmental conditions).
The KickMap is based on years of scientific research and has been engineered to demystify the physics behind 6 valuable kicking skills, offering a visual aid that’s never been available before. Affordability and usability are important therefore KickMap doesn’t rely on an app, device or internet and has no ongoing subscription fees. Your KickMap purchase also grants you access to our library of instructional videos, providing tutorials for each of the 6 different kicks.
There are many things that go into every kick. Always check first to make sure you understand the general kicking tips and how each factor affects the flight of the ball. From there, when the ball is kicked, you should see the ball spin as indicated on the instruction sheet for that type of kick.
